A Letter to Parents

Dear Parents;

During August 2008, forty-eight boys from North and South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia had a wonderful time during “Adventure Week” @ Camp Rockmont, Black Mountain, NC.

A Christian camp experience can be a parent’s most powerful tool, outside the home, for instilling confidence positive self-esteem, and Christian character in a young man. The Camp Diversity Foundation was formed to provide boys the opportunity to experience a fun filled week at camp and to experience Christian community in a resident camp setting.

This year Adventure Week will be August 9-14, 2009. Camp Rockmont has been selected to provide the facility, trained staff, program, meals, and health care, all funded by the Camp Diversity Foundation. We are working with Big Brothers and Big Sisters, Boys and Girls Clubs and other youth organizations as partners to identify and help select boys that could benefit from a camp experience.

Your son has been identified as a possible camper during the August session. Please read the brochure which provides information about the partner organizations’ responsibilities, about Camp Rockmont and what to bring to camp. Please complete the Registration Form (PDF) and the Health Form (PDF) and return it to your sponsoring organization who will send it to me.

We look forward to having your son in camp August 9-14, 2009 at Camp Rockmont.

Thank you,

Henry L. Taylor
